Holidays, the well-deserved time-out for the hard working and a chance to escape from the social conditions at home. A time to relax and unwind. Searching for the mechanisms, symbols and actors of mass tourism, Lars Bösch found a world of plastic and concrete. Uniformly, homogenous, reddishly tarnished masses are pushed over flickering grey, craving for exclusiveness. Like flocks of sheep, the masses were channelled from one shop to another through the predetermined corridors of artificial backdrops. Consuming, bathing, consuming, sleeping. A perfect scenario that runs in an endless loop. Places of inaction characterized by homogeneity, short-livedness and desire.
